My polocrosse career began after volunteering at my daughter's Pony Club rally. The interaction between the horses and riders intrigued me enough to want to try. I had not ridden in many years, but my competitive spirit drove me to give it a whirl. I began playing in 2009 on my veteran mare, Lilly. She and I have been fortunate enough to win several best player awards and best horse nominations. In 2011, Lilly carried me to third place in the Eastern Zone Season Points Title in the Men's division.

Kat and Posh had a very successful season collecting several best player and best horse awards. Kat was also a member of the novice championship team at Pony Club Championships in Lexington, Kentucky. Posh was awarded the coveted Cadillac award in the novice division.

Sara Cifelli

Sara Cifelli

Sara started playing polocrosse in 2002 through Pony Club and then
began playing in the American Polocrosse Association in 2004. She has
played up through A grade as well as competing internationally against
NSW Australia and South Africa and receiving year end awards for the
Bomber Junior Trainer in 2008 and top U21 Rider in 2008 and 2009. Sara
is in North Carolina as a full-time student at UNC-Greensboro and while
her top A grade horse has been retired she has been playing on her own
green horses and borrowing others to keep playing. Her favorite thing
about polocrosse is that while everyone can be competitive and driven
by club pride on the field, there is a strong sense of camaraderie with
all players involved in the sport once the game is over.

I started playing polocrosse 2009. Pony Club got me interested in it and finally i started playing. Now, I recently purchased a polocorsse horse Flash, in early Spring 2011. This past year was successful for us, being apart of the winning Pony Club Championships Novice division team, in Kentucky. I hope the years to come will be successful for us and my goal is for him to win a best horse!

I've been riding for almost 5 years. Polocrosse has become one of my passions. I enjoy the pace of the sport and the friendships I've made while traveling across the country and internationally. I love the bond I have developed with my horses both on and off the field. The bond is one of complete partnership because I can't play this sport without them. I'm an active member of USPC and have been selected for my fifth International team this year. I'll be traveling to Zambia and I can't wait to try the African Style of play. I play a horse named Romeo and use Bella for my spare horse and have 2 upcoming horses that will start playing/practicing later this year.

I have been riding since I was almost 5 years old. I enjoy foxhunting, eventing, dressage and polocrosse. I'm a current member of the USPC and I'm traveling to Australia for 4 months this year. I will be staying with a friend whom I met during my 2nd International Team experience and working on her cattle ranch. I was lucky enough to be selected to the NSW team traveling to Australia this year and this will be my 3rd team experience. I have a quarter horse named Tyson that I play.

Beth Younger

Beth Younger

I am a RN , Riding Instructor , District Commissioner of Moore County Pony Club and Leader of the Bowlegged Bunch 4H Club. Although I have been associated with polocrosse for many years and enjoyed the sport from the ground as a horse manager, I didn't begin playing until 2009. I went to my first Nationals in 2010 and played in the first ever Women's Division. It was a blast and I received the best #1 award. I am not a star player but love that this is a sport where there is a place for all levels. I love the braveness that polocrosse develops in horses and riders. The skills needed to play take a consistent effort to develop. I enjoy the horse and rider partnership and the team aspect of the sport. I absolutely appreciate that this sport is something that all my family enjoys and I enjoy the time with family and friends.

I started in Polocrosse in 2002. My first tournament was in 2004. Then in 2006 at Nationals, I won the best player award for the number 2position in C grade. During the same year , I started becoming a certified umpire. I am now a certified level II umpire and Chief umpire at tournaments. In 2008 I was able to play in the first international masters tournament on team USA.
I was on the C grade team that won Nationals in 2010. I was elected a Board Member at Large to the APA and am currently chairing the ratings committee. I am very interested in developing an umpire program to teach and certify umpires across the USA. Our players deserve the fairest competition for the efforts they put into the sport and our horses deserve the best chance to remain injury free and show off their skills as well. I coach polocrosse and enjoy introducing new players of all ages to the sport. Juniors that were introduced to polox , here at Muddy Creek Farm have won national recognition and I am proud of their accomplishments more than my own. I umpired at the 2011 USPC championships and saw the future of our sport. I always have fun playing polocrosse whether here at the farm or at Tournaments.
